Dear fellow Muslims, 1998 is a very important year in political circles. Many congressional and local seats are up for election. It is crucial that we understand our local and national electoral process. It is paramont that we get to know our elected officials. With all the international crisis involving the Muslim Countries around the world, it is very important that these candidates be aware of our concerns. The best time to get their attention is now, when they need our support to get elected. This is the only means we have to show them our concerns.
We urge all Muslim Brothers and Sisters who are American Citizen to vote. There are over 12 million Muslims in the United States. We can make our voices heard. REGISTER and VOTE. It does make a difference. Support those who are PRO ISLAMIC CONCERNS. If you are interested in politics, we encourage you to run for office.
The simplest and easiest way to get involved is by going to the local party meetings. If you have a favorite candidate, go to his office, help him in his efforts, canvas for him and learn the process. Even if you are not an American Citizen! They will welcome your help. Hopefully, someday you will run for that office. It is easier than you think and it is FUN!!
If there are any Muslim individuals running for office, please support them. Let us know who they are, so we can support them as well.
